Terms of Use

These terms explain the rules for using coolest.design. By browsing, signing up, saving designs or submitting work to Coolest, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

1. About Coolest

Coolest is a curated collection of the coolest design on the internet, run by Zsolt Kálmán in Budapest, Hungary. People can submit work for review, and we also feature publicly available work we find, always with credit and a link to the original source where possible.

2. Using Coolest

Coolest is free to browse. You need to be at least 16 to create an account, subscribe to the newsletter or submit work. If you submit work on behalf of a studio, client or someone else, you confirm you have their permission.

3. Your account

You can log in with an email link or with Google. Keep access to your email secure, since that’s how you get in. You can ask us to delete your account at any time, and we may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.

4. Submitting work

By submitting work, you confirm that:

  • You made it, or you have permission to share it.
  • The credit and details you provide are accurate.
  • It doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights, including copyright, trademark or privacy.
  • Any fonts, assets or other resources used in it are properly licensed.
  • It contains nothing unlawful, harmful or misleading.

Submitting work doesn’t guarantee it will be featured.

5. Ownership

You keep all rights to your work. Submitting it to Coolest doesn’t transfer ownership or any intellectual property to us.

6. Permission to show your work

By submitting work, you give Coolest permission to review it, publish it on coolest.design, and share it in This week’s Coolest and on Coolest’s social channels, with credit and a link back where possible. This includes resizing or cropping it to fit our layouts. This permission is only for running and promoting Coolest, and it doesn’t make your work ours.

7. Work we feature

Some work on Coolest was found by us rather than submitted. We always aim to credit the creator clearly and link to the original. Featuring work doesn’t mean we own it or claim any rights to it.

8. Removal and credit requests

If you made something that’s on Coolest and want it removed, credited differently or linked to another source, contact us at hello@coolest.design. We may hide work while we look into ownership or credit concerns.

9. Curation

Coolest is hand-picked. We may decline, edit, hide or remove any submission at our discretion, especially where there are concerns about ownership, credit, quality or misuse, and we don’t have to explain every decision. Passing off someone else’s work as your own gets your account removed.

10. Using work you find here

Everything featured on Coolest belongs to its creators. You’re welcome to look, get inspired and share links, but you may not copy, resell, redistribute, claim, train AI on or commercially use any featured work without the creator’s permission. Appearing on Coolest doesn’t make a design free to use.

11. Acceptable use

Please don’t:

  • Submit work you don’t own or don’t have permission to share.
  • Misrepresent who made something.
  • Scrape, copy or bulk-download content from the site.
  • Spam, harass or impersonate others.
  • Interfere with the site’s security or performance.

12. The newsletter

This week’s Coolest is a free weekly email. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every issue.

Coolest links to many other websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

14. Availability

We may change, pause or remove parts of Coolest at any time. We work hard to keep it running smoothly, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. Coolest is provided as is.

15. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Coolest isn’t responsible for indirect or consequential losses from using the site, including anything related to submitted or featured work, links to other sites or the availability of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll let you know on the site or by email. If you keep using Coolest after that, you accept the updated terms.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by Hungarian law. If you live in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your own country.
